Ever since we opened our Academy, we’ve been dedicated to producing life-changing results for Stafford’s best families, through martial arts, education and coaching. Master Chris Young
Master Young brings over 35 years of teaching experience, and an unmatched dedication to helping every student live an amazing life. He holds a Fifth-Degree Black Belt, and is a certified Master Instructor with the world renowned Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters.
Master Lisa Young
Master Young has taught alongside her husband, Master Chris Young for many years, and loves helping students set and achieve new goals. Since earning her Fourth-Degree Black Belt, she has become a student favorite for her commitment to bringing out the best in each student.
Master Greg Gibson
Master Gibson is a U. S. Army veteran and a Fourth Degree Black Belt. He is proud to run our Mini-Masters program for 3-5 year olds.
Master David Wesely
Master Wesely has been training at the US Academy of Taekwondo from the beginning. In addition to being a Fourth-Degree Black Belt, he has represented the school and our nation in international championship events.
Ms. Brianna Jeffrie
Ms. Jeffrie is a full-time college student as well as an amazing instructor. Students of all ages love her for her commitment and high energy.
Mr. Jay Gannaway
Mr. Gannaway is a former U. S. Marine, a dedicated father, and a Third-Degree Black Belt. He chose to return to martial arts as a way of bonding with his son, Micah and daughter Elliana. Now, he is proud to share the benefits of martial arts with families across Stafford.
Mr. Sebastian Spiller
Mr. Spiller is a National Honor Society member and a Third-Degree Black Belt. He’s been a part of our martial arts family since 2015.
Mrs. Jessica Brady
Ms. Jessica, along with her husband and 5 children, have been a part of our amazing martial arts family for many years. She is proud to help Stafford’s best kids as the Program Director in charge of our After School and Summer Camp programs.
In 1983 Master Young was a shy woefully uncoordinated seventh grader, and a victim of near constant bullying. His life was forever changed when his parents enrolled him in a local taekwondo school.
From that very first lesson, Master Young knew he’d found his life’s passion. Before long, he was asked to teach class, and thus began a life-long love of teaching.
While simultaneously pursuing a competition career in which he had the honor of representing the United States in multiple international competitions, Master Young developed the teaching methods, patience and love of helping students that earned him several prestegious international recognition awards for teaching excellence.
In 2014, he chose Stafford as the new home of his dedicated full time martial arts and leadership training center.
